Flower Donations
The committee would greatly appreciate any donations of properly conditioned
floral and greens. These items can be dropped off that afternoon/evening by 4:30 at the Horticulture Building, or contact
Jean Meyer or Judy Goldsmith to make arrangements for pick up.
Volunteers and participants are always welcome to attend. Please contact Jean or Judy, if you have any
questions. Hope to see you there!
To condition
flower or foliage, cut stems at a 45-degree angle, remove any foliage that will sit beneath the water, and soak in tepid water
for at least 2 hours in a cool spot. You can optionally add a 1/4 tsp. of bleach and a tsp. of sugar to each quart of water,
but this or any other floral preservative is certainly not necessary.
