November 20, 2025:  Monthly Meeting. Basic Orchid Care AND Holiday Bazaar

Love orchids but struggle to keep them happy? In this beginner-friendly class, discover the secrets to watering, light, and repotting so your orchids bloom beautifully year after year. Perfect for gardeners of all levels!

Presented by Libbey Heilskov-O’Reilly. Libbey is a horticulture enthusiast and educator with a passion for making plant care approachable and enjoyable. She has hands-on experience in gardening, plant design, and teaching practical skills to help others succeed with plants at home. Libbey focuses on blending science-based knowledge with real-life tips so learners feel confident and inspired.  

Holiday Bazaar during our November 20 meeting (5 to 8 PM)

Members and their families will be selling crafts and wares, food items (with a MN food license), and holiday decorations, both new and used. Fairy garden items from our beloved club member, Karen Noltee, will also be available. The event will be advertised to the public as a preamble to our November program on orchids.

DECEMBER

December 18, 2025:  Monthly Meeting. Hydroponic Farming - Rahe of Sunshine Farms

On December 18, our Membership meeting will include our Educational Speaker, Tony Rahe. Rahe of Sunshine Farms is veteran owned and operated by Tony Rahe and his wife Kelly Rahe. The Hydroponic farm is nestled in the small town of Wykoff, MN, located 30 miles south of Rochester, MN. Their vision is to promote healthy leafy greens, root vegetables and even flowers through a sustainable way of farming, with chemical free Hydroponics.

Tony will share his story of becoming a hydroponic farmer, explain his operation in Wykoff and answer questions.

 

 

JANUARY 2026

January 15, 2026:  Northern Lights Daylily Farm & Hybridizing Lilies

Mike Grossmann and Kathleen Nordstrom of West Concord, Minnesota will present. Mike and Kathleen have been growing and hybridizing lilies for many years. The farm has produced many spectacular and national award-winning hybrids. Mike focuses on “toothy” edges and big eyes. February 19, 2026:  The Minnesota Rose Society, all about Roses 101

Presented by James Bearsley, Northern Rosarian, American Rose Society Master Rosarian and Accredited Rose Judge, growing roses in Maplewood, Mn. A member of the Minnesota Rose Society, the Lake Superior Rose Society, the Minnesota State Horticultural Society and the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum where he is a Rose Expert. Besides roses, James grows hostas, lilies, daylilies, peonies, native shrubs, wildflowers and maintains butterfly and hummingbird gardens. https://www.northernrosarian.com

 

March 19, 2026:  Northern Aroids, New and Exotic Houseplants

Jenna Mundahl, owner of Northern Aroids will share tips & tricks for your houseplants and introduce us to the newest, trendiest, and most exotic houseplant varieties.
